Masala boondi or Boondi chaat is a extermly easy to make dish. A really simple to make but, it tastes very delicious. You will be surprise that only few ingredients can make this dish so flavorful.
Can be served as a snack or as a starter.
- Boondi – 200 gms
- Onion – 1 cup, finely chopped
- Tomatoes – ¾ cup, finely chopped
- Green chilies – 2-3 tbps, finely chopped
- Red Chilly Powder – ¾ to 1 tbps or as per your taste
- Black Salt – ½ tbps or as per your taste
- Fresh Coriander – 2-3 tbps, finely chopped
- Lemon juice – 2-3 tbps
- Chaat masala – (optional)
- Salt – to taste
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Take onion, tomato, green chilies, red chilly powder, black salt powder, chaat masala (optional), coriander, lemon juice, salt in a serving bowl and mix well…
*drain off any excess water if any released by tomatoes and onions after adding salt*
Now when ready to serve add boondi & mix well
*Note: Always keep in mind that, this masala boondi should be served immediately after making it. If you keep it for long time then boondi will get soggy and it won’t be crunchy & will loose its taste and charm.*
Tip: One may also add few pomegranate seeds &/or finely chopped raw-mango to make it more colorful and tasty.
