Jigss spl- Mast Malaidar Mango Lassi

Lassi is a chilled sweet yogurt drink. It tastes awesome when flavoured with cardamom and topped with chopped nuts. It is a traditional drink of Punjab (North India) but it is popular world wide. There are many variation of lassi recipe available. Sometimes sugar is replaced with salt and this variation is known as salted lassi or chaas.

Another variation is Makhaniya lassi which is popular in Rajasthan and Gujarat states of India. In this version, it is topped with dollop of fresh butter. Fruits can also be used in this recipe to give a nice smoothy texture and flavour. Some popular fruit lassi are mango lassi, strawberry lassi, kiwi lassi and many more.

It is rich in nutrients and there are many health benefits if you include this delicious drink in your diet. It can help to bring sound sleep revitalizing all the body systems. .

It is rich in calcium which is good for bones and teeth. Due to high moisture content it helps to fulfill the water requirement of the body, especially during the summer seasons. It is a probiotic that influences the growth of healthy bacteria in the gut and reduces the bad bacteria. it is rich in protein; therefore it is good for the development of body muscles.

Mangoes are a favorite of many people. Till date, I have not found anyone who does not like mangoes. What better way than to combine the sweetness of mangoes with the coolness of yogurt.

Here is Jigss spl- Mast Malaidar Mango Lassi which is 100% pure, no artificial flavors/colors added, super rich, easy to make.  #warning#- not recommended for diet conscious people, considering the ingredients used which make this lassi RICH in Taste as well as in Calories…. A very good option for people who are observing fast.

 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ to 2  cups of mango pulp (I used alphonso & kesar mangoes, but you could use any good variety of mango).
  • 1 ½  cups chilled fresh curd/yogurt
  • 1 ½  cups chilled full fat / cream(malai) of curd/yogurt
  • 7 to 8  tbsp sugar or add  or as required
  • 3-4 tbps sliced dry fruits
  • ice cubes (optional)

For Garnish

  • 6-7 tbsp mango cubes (I used alphonso)
  • 3-5 tbsp sliced dry fruits
  • 3-4 tbsp full fat/ cream(malai) of curd/yogurt

 

Prep Time : 10 minutes

Cook time : 5 minutes

Serve : 2-3

 

 

Method

Add all ingredients in a deep vessel ….

Blend with the help of a manual blender till  every thing is mixed well and the mixture has become smooth…

Keep this mixture in refrigerator to chill (optional) ….

 

Serving time ..

Add monago cubes into the serving glass,

Pour in the chilled mango lassi
